Call for Applications: Sida’s International SEA Training Program

Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam are among five countries targeted by the Swedish International Development Agency’s (Sida) upcoming international Strategic Environmental Assessment training program.

The overall aim of the 5-phase program is to strengthen SEA capacity in the participants’ organizations and is open to applicants from government agencies and ministries, non-government organizations, and private enterprises.

The first four phases will be held in Sweden and Viet Nam intermittently from September 2016 until March 2017. The fifth phase will see participants apply their learning to specific SEA projects relating to their organizations over a 6-month period through to September 2017.

Nearly all costs of the program are covered by Sida. The course is being organized by NIRAS with the Centre for Environment and Sustainability (GMV) in Gothenburg, Sweden, as partner.

The deadline for applications is 30 April 2016.
